Frequently asked
Do I need to be experienced to start?
No. Our sessions are coached and scaled to the person in front of us. If you've never trained before, we'll start you at the right level. If you've been training for years, we'll push you. Same session, different loads. That's the whole point.
What's a typical session like?
Every session is coached from the first minute to the last. What changes is the day. We run two kinds.
Strength days open with a warm-up built around that day's main movement, then run across three blocks. Block one is your compound lifts; blocks two and three are accessory work. There's no conditioning piece at the end. Strength days are for getting strong.
Conditioning days start with a warm-up too, then 40 to 60 minutes of work, either continuous or interval-based, with weights and machines mixed in depending on the session (Power, Engine or Throwdown).
Either way, a coach is on the floor the whole time, scaling every movement to you. Come in a stranger, leave part of the pack.
How do I get started?
Book a trial, come in, train. We'll walk you through everything on the day. Start your 14-day trial.
Do I need to book classes?
Yes, book through the app. It keeps session sizes tight so you get coached properly.
What should I bring?
Trainers, a water bottle, and that's it. We've got the rest.
Do you have showers and changing rooms?
Yes. Every Den location has showers, changing rooms, toilets and towels. Turn up straight from work, train, shower, go.
Is there parking?
Yes. Free parking at all of our locations.
Do you have an open gym?
Open gym is available to members outside of class times. We're a group training gym first, so the floor is reserved for sessions when classes are running.
Do you offer one-to-one personal training?
Yes. PT is available with our coaches, subject to availability around the class timetable. Ask at the front desk or message us and we'll match you with a coach.
Can I freeze or cancel my membership?
Freezing: 16-class and 20-class memberships can be frozen for up to 30 days; Unlimited memberships for up to 60 days. A freeze pauses your access and your billing, but it doesn't pause your three-month minimum commitment. Send freeze requests in writing to customercare@thedendxb.com. If you're injured or unwell, include a doctor's note.
Cancelling: give at least 30 days' written notice before your cancellation date, to the same email, with any outstanding dues settled. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
